GDPR

Privacy is a subject that has come to the fore recently, especially since GDPR has had such a visible impact on our lives. For us, your privacy is exactly that, yours. We don't want to do anything that isn't loving and caring, as we believe Jesus would do. We are far more hopeful that you will come and seek us out of your own free will. Any information collected for our Church, for example telephone lists or activities are totally voluntary, and only used with your written consent in advance. This website does not collect any information, so there is no need to worry about that.

Under Data Protection legislation the church Charity Trustees of Syke Methodist Church, Syke, Rochdale are the Data Controller and can be contacted by emailing via our contact page or contacting our Church Secretary, C/O Syke Methodist Church, Syke, Rochdale, OL12 9TF.

If you are concerned about the way your information is being handled please speak to our Data Protection Trustee at the above address. If you are still unhappy you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioners Office.

Cookies

Sorry we don’t have server cookies here, but you will find some after our service on Sunday served with tea or coffee.

This website does not use any cookies, and checking through the 3rd party libraries, we can’t see any being used there either. This website does not use any cookies, and checking through the 3rd party libraries, we can’t see any being used there either. The very nature of web servers though does mean some very basic information is collected, such as the ip address the server needs to send the web page to, which is the ip address your internet provider gives you. Also the type of browser and the screen size are collected because these are needed to make the website work with all the different environments people use today. With all that being said, the only thing we are interested in is if the server is being over-loaded. But, being a social Church, you will find cookies being served after the Sunday morning service, which you would be most welcome to come and try!

Wishing you all Gods blessings, and in the love of Jesus,
Syke Methodist Church, Rochdale
